GBC YOUTH CAMP

2012 Camp Dates: July 9-14


We hope that you will be able to come to camp this year and have a great time making friends and enjoying the activities and the beautiful outdoors that God has created! ACTIVITIES :

BIBLE STUDIES:
We will have daily Bible studies and evening services along with devotional times throughout the week.

FELLOWSHIP:
There will be plenty of Christian fellowship plus the opportunity to develop new Christian friendships.

TEAM COMPETITIONS:
Campers will be assigned to teams for fun competition throughout the week. The competitions will involve a variety of areas such as study lessons, memory verses, sports and more. There will be awards for the winning team at the end of the week.

SPORTS & EXTRA ACTIVITIES:
Campers will be able to enjoy a variety of activities such as basketball, volleyball, hiking, wiffle ball, crafts and a campfire. All of these activities are free of charge to each camper.



ACCOMMODATIONS

LODGING
There is a large lodge for meetings, dining, recreation and lodging. There are also comfortable cabins available for lodging at this camp.

MEALS:
You will need to bring a sack lunch for the first day. All other meals will be provided for campers thru lunch on the last day.  There will be a canteen open during certain hours each day. You will need to bring spending money if you desire to purchase snacks.

Please give the registration form along with the total amount due to your Youth Leader.

COSTS:
The total cost for each camper will include lodging, materials, activities, and all meals except lunch on Monday. The cost for each camper will be posted when dates and prices are finalized.

WHAT TO BRING
-King James Bible, notebook, pen or pencil
-Linens: Sheets and blankets or a sleeping bag, and pillow
-Towels and any personal toiletry items
-Sunscreen, insect repellent
-Money for snacks
-One church outfit for the Thursday night service
-MODEST CLOTHING is expected at all times to reflect the Christian Character of the camp and retreat center. Immodest shorts or tops, distasteful monograms, or other extreme dress are not acceptable at any time.

WHAT NOT TO BRING
-iPods, Radios, tape recorders, walk-mans
-Tobacco products, alcohol or drugs
-Playing cards
-Fireworks or weapons
-Any valuables -- GBC Youth Camp is not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged valuables.

Camp Rules:
No tobacco products, alcohol, drugs, fireworks or weapons are allowed at camp.
We would like to see good sportsmanship during team competitions.
Lights out time means to be in your room, quiet, and ready for sleep.
Please throw candy wrappers, pop cans, etc. in their proper places and show respect for the camp and the facilities we are able to use.
No fighting!
No radios, Tape Recorders, Walkmans or watching TV.
No Playing Cards Allowed.
Boys are not allowed in Girls sleeping area or girls in the boys area.
No hugging, kissing or holding hands.
Modest dress is required.


ARRIVAL / DEPARTURE
Campers will be responsible for their own transportation to and from camp.
